Q. How does the Quad City Veterans Funeral Plan work?
A. It’s simple. We provide a complete funeral in your church or at graveside or other location, your choice of one of the Batesville caskets pictured, embalming, visitation period, one certified copy of the death certificate, floral casket spray, guestbook and memorial folders. Everything you need for one low price, $4795.00.
Q. Who is eligible?
A. Quad City Veterans Funeral Plan is available to all veterans an d their spouses.
Q. Who provides the services?
A. Quad City Funeral Care is part of the Trimble Group, with 133 years of funeral service to the greater Iowa-Illinois Quad City area through Trimble Funeral and Cremation Centers.
Q. Why are your prices so much lower than those of traditional funeral homes?
A. As experienced funeral directors, we know that many families find value in the traditional funeral services offered by the Trimble Group and the other fine funeral homes in the area. However, we also believe that, given a choice, some families prefer to have simpler, more affordable services, which we can provide by controlling our overhead and limiting our offerings. The Veterans Funeral Plan is designed to offer a simple yet dignified option to Quad Cities veterans and their families.
 Q. What about burial in the National Cemetery.
A. We recommend and encourage veterans to consider burial in the Rock Island National Cemetery. All veterans and their spouses are entitled to two graves, a double marker, two outer burial containers, opening and closing, and perpetual care – all at no charge. We are located near the Moline entrance to the National Cemetery and work closely with them. Click here for important information.
Q. What if death is after hours, on a weekend or holiday?
A. We are available to respond to a death 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, 365 days every year. Just call 877-767-VETS. Because the National Cemetery is closed on week-ends, services and arrangement appointments are available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Q. What if death occurs away from the Quad Cities?
A. Our complete price includes transportation within 60 miles of the Quad Cities, which includes the VA Hospital in Iowa City. We can provide our services elsewhere, but additional costs may be involved.
Q. Do you offer cremation options?
A. Yes, we provide options for direct cremation or cremation before or following services, starting at $1395.00
